The number one promoter of Afrique Events who also doubles as a board member of the Governor’s African Council, Ronnie Gatongole has called on Africans in Boston, Massachusetts to establish a data base and a forum where they can meet and solve problems facing African immigrants living in the state.
In an exclusive interview with our reporter in Waltham, Gatongole expressed concern among Africans who have been jailed yet their problems can be solved in the African council.

He added that some of the problems like immigration, Education, health and economic empowerment can be solved by the Governor's African Council “if we come together and form a data base or a desk in the governor’s office with a sole purpose of looking into our needs.”
"We need to get a feed back from the community as leaders of GAC so that we can get a comprehensive plan and understand problems faced by Africans. We need to create an African agenda so that we are in a position knowing problems affecting the African community in the state and how we can confront these problems."
He however blamed Africans who do not follow the laws of the land especially immigration.
"Many of us are being arrested because we lie and we also don’t have attorneys to defend us in court when we get into problems.” He said all this can be looked into if we had a forum through which such issues can be digested and solutions found.
Gatongole said that “when most of us arrive in the USA, we go under cover instead of seeking the right path to a legal status. Such a forum if established can go a long way to guide people to take the right path to getting a legal status instead of hiding.”
He called on all Africans in the USA to unite and join GAC or become GAC members so that the Governor can deliver what he promised in the campaigns.
He also urged leaders of different communities like churches, Mosques, and countries to join hands and help fellow countrymen to live a better life in America.
Gatongole said he can be reached on telephone number 781 354 1580 or email: gac@gmail.com, for those who want more information on what is going on in GAC.
