Earlier story is here below.

MALDEN, Mass, AUGUST 22__In a twist of fate, the surviving grandfather to our Ajabu Africa News publisher, Justus Muiruri Marugu has passed away suddenly, barely two months after his first born son, Charles Maina Muiruri father to Harrison Maina of Ajabu Africa arrived in the USA after winning a green card lottery at an elderly age. \

Coincidentally, exactly two years ago, in the summer of 2007, Maina’s grandmother passed away just when his (Maina’s) father, Charles Muiruri and his wife, Patricia Maina had just arrived in the US to attend a graduation ceremony of their daughter.

Due to lack of funds, the father was not able to travel to Kenya on time for the burial of his mother.

Unfortunately, the new death has again caught the family unawares and in a similarly hard financial situation as they are struggling to settle in America.

However, it has become imperative for Muiruri to urgently travel to Kenya to seek closure and try to sort out a massive hospital bill left by his elderly father.

As a result, the family is appealing to our readers, friends and well wishers to help raise the urgently needed funds so that Harrison’s father can attend the burial scheduled to take place later this week.

The late Marugu, 87, passed away on Thursday, August 20, after being admitted to a hospital in Thika, Kenya, with a severe infection.

Born 1922 in Muranga District, Kigumo Division, Kirere location, the late Marugu migrated to Gatunguru village, Chania location of Thika District in Central Kenya at an early age with his parents in 1929.

He has lived in this area ever since till the time of his death. Read orbituary here.
