Bishop to Wind up Massachusetts Tour with a Mega Crusade
A month long mission of preaching the gospel in the New England area by the renowned Bishop Jonah Obonyo of Cathederal of Praise Ministries based in Nairobi Kenya will come to and end today with a Mega Crusade slated to take place at the CCF Church in Lowell at 4.00 PM.

The crusade is expected to be packed to capacity with many people expressing desire to drive from many to hear from the fiery, humorous and  multilingual man of God who switches into many different languages to maintain the attention of  the particular audience .

Bishop Obonyo has shown an incredible ability to drive the point home and amazed many Kenyans in the New England region with his short but very fluent nuggets of Godly wisdom in different languages

“This man of God has maitanied a busy schedule of weekend crusades, church sermons and week day bible study sessions in Lowell, Andover, Worcester, Billerica,  North Chelmsford and even in Nashua New Hampshire for a whole month”, said Rev. Joseph Waiyaki of Faith Service Ministries, who was the main coordinator for the 2009 US tour for the Bishop.

Bishop Obonyo has touched on many topics that left many people bewildered by his ability to discern many problems that ail people’s lives and has in the process pulled huge crowds especially for the young people and those young at heart.

At a recent Valentines day event held in North Andover  at the home of Rev. Samuel  Kimohu of St. Stephens Anglican church, Bishop Obonyo said that many problems that face marriages in  the African people is because African men still hesitate to express love to their wives once they get married.

“Most African men do not want to tell their women “I love you”, said bishop Obonyo causing many women present to cheer wildly.  “Stop talking about projects like buying plots to your wife all the time and talk love. You will see how things will change in your house many doors will click open”, the bishop advised men.

“When a woman in the house is happy, even the cats and rats in the house are happy”, he added to the amazement of the men around.

Saying that marriage is the administrative network of God in this world, Bishop Obonyo warned   that it is for that reason that the enemy targets marriage first for destruction.

He cautioned defiant an disobedient women in the USA who are not submissive to their husbands and those who live by threatening their husbands with   calling the cops on them for every little disagreement.

“If you are married, you must have an attitude of being married. Said the Bishop,  “Don’t keep saying “Tiga ni ici ciana ingiathire tene “ until you are eighty years old .( Kikuyu for “if it were not for these kids I would have left long time ago”), or “Niukewnda gute muoyo?” (“you wanna loose your life ?”) , a threat used by many Kenyan women in the US when they want to call the cops on a husband

In another sermon, Bishop Obonyo told Kenyans that if they look closely at their lives, they will see that many of their behaviors that cause them problems today are exactly like those of their forefathers who were very sinful and their spirits follow them around dictating what they do.

He said that the only way to break such generational curses is by setting up alters for God to clear the sins and consciences of people.

After today’s crusade, bishop Obonyo will head south to a series of events in Maryland that will conclude his 2009 US tour before he jets back home to Kenya.
