A visually impaired, wildly popular and successful Kenyan Gospel artist who is in the USA for a summer tour asked Christians in the USA to strive and make a difference in the community for the short time they are here in this world.
Speaking at an Evening Fellowship meeting in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on Friday July 17, Mr. Reuben Kigame told Christians that they are in this world for a short time and should therefore be doing things they will be proud to be remembered about when they move on.
“You are here for a reason. What are you doing with the life that God has given you?” asked Brother Kigame. “What are you doing with the opportunities you have been given? Make a difference today. Examine yourself because today you are here and tomorrow you are gone,” Kigame cautioned.
Drawing reference from the book of Esther in the Bible, Brother Kigame told Christians that God put them in His kingdom for a time like this for them to make a difference. God put Mordechai in Esther’s life to challenge her to make a move and save the Israelites.
Kigame said that many people live for many years and do nothing special in their lives while some live for only a few years and do wonders.
"Don’t be like Methuselah who lived for 969 years and did nothing with his life. Strive to make a positive difference wherever you are, be it in your family, school, church or work. This life is too short," he added.

Pastor Kigame is widely known in East Africa for his sweet gospel melodies done in various languages including Kiswahili and English.Among his most popular hits are Fadhili Zake Ni za Milele (His grace is for ever) and Wastahili Bwana (Lord you Deserve)
Originally from Western Kenya, Kigame has travelled widely and lives in Eldoret, in the politically volatile Rift Valley province of Kenya.
Rift Valley province was the scene of major rioting and clashes occasioned by the recent general election in Kenya which ended up claiming over 1,000 lives.
Accompanying Kigame in his tour is his new wife, Mrs. Lucy Kigame, who melodiously sang duets with the maestro gospel artist husband. Pastor Kigame’s first wife passed away several years ago due to illness.
Mrs. Kigame said that she remembers very well the horrors they witnessed as people were killed and raped during the recent political upheaval in Eldoret, Kenya. She urged Kenyans to turn away from anything negative. “Let it start with us Christians and other people will follow,” Mrs. Kigame said.
