The Bishop of Namirembe diocese has urged Ugandans to repent to save the nation from all its troubles.
In his Christmas sermon at St. Paul’s Cathedral Namirembe, the Rt. Rev. Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira asked leaders to be patriotic and serve the people
“It is time to repent. It is a time to accept that things have gone amiss. Let us examine ourselves and change for the better,” the Bishop said.
The strong sermon came just days after he likened Uganda to a house full of cracks in its roof that has left the people inside scared.
“Let us work for peace and for the people we are leading. Repentance is needed starting with me and you,” said Luwalira.
Former Premier Apollo Nsimbabi attended the service.
Luwalira reminded the congregation that God has good plans for them and that they should not despair as he will bring them to the Promised Land and he knows all that is inside their hearts.
