The Leader of Rubaga Miracle Center Cathedral, Pastor Robert Kayanja this morning took to the witness stand to testify against four fellow pastors who together with two believers allegedly conspired to malign him.

Pr. Kayanja accompanied by his wife and believers told the Magistrates Court at Buganda Road before Mr Patrick Wekesa that fellow pastors implicated him to an act which has led to many believers abandoning his church.

“…I don’t sell bananas or cows. I deal with human beings; a man’s name is all that he has. If someone deliberately desires to destroy it, then he has destroyed everything it stands for,” testified Pr. Kayanja in a fully packed courtroom tightly guarded by the police.

The pastors; Moses Solomon Male of Arising for Christ, Martin Sempa, Michael David Kyazze, and Bob Robert Kayiira of Omega Healing Ministries are facing charges of alleged conspiracy to tarnish Pr Kayanja’s name that he sodomised believers.

They are jointly charged with believers, Ms Dorothy Kyomuhendo and artiste David Mukalazi.

Prosecution led by Mr Stephen Asaba, alleges that between 2008 and 2009 at various places within Kampala District, the four pastors; Male, Sempa, Kyazze and Kayiira conspired with Kyomuhendo, a State House aide and a local gospel artiste Mukalazi to injure Pr. Kayanja’s reputation.

Pr Kayanja’s testimony continues in court this afternoon with cross examination by defence lawyers.
