LOWELL, Mass._ Christ Jubilee International Ministries, a church that started in Lowell and now with branches in Lowell, Worcester, Lynn and Liberia, celebrated its twelfth anniversary in Lowell from April 12 to 17, 2011.

The highly spiritually charged services were held at the church’s multi-purpose head office at 101 Smith Street in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Christ Jubilee is a non-denominational and multi-national church that represents more than fourteen nations from Africa, Europe, the Caribbeans and the United States of America.

The week-long activities brought all membership of the church together for evening services hosted by the various ministry groups from the branch churches.

Bishop Dr. Darlingston Johnson of the Bethel World Outreach Church International with head office in Silver Springs, Maryland and Bishop Ernest Dahn of the Greater Refuge Church International in Atlanta, Georgia served as principal speakers.

All branches of the ministry observed a week-long fast and prayer prior to the anniversary from April 4-9. From April 12-15, Bishop Ernest Dahn ministered to the entire church, the men ministry, the women ministry and the youth ministry.

An International dinner was hosted on Saturday and Bishop Johnson encouraged the attendees that the church had survived thus far based on God’s grace.

The anniversary services were climaxed on Sunday with the official installation of Rev. Jeremiah B. Menyongai, Jr, the Senior pastor of the Ministry as the Senior Pastor and General Overseer.

The newly installed Senior Pastor and General Overseer then installed two new deaconesses from the church in Lowell and licensed a minister from the church in Worcester.

More than five hundred members and guests attended the service on Sunday in the church edifice.

Bishop Darlingston Johnson, during the installation ceremony, spoke on the life of Gideon stressing how God could never use a person unless the situation was impossible and required the hand of God for deliverance.

Thus God had to reduce Gideon’s army from 32,000 to 300 hundred just so Gideon would know that only God could have defeated the Midianite army and not the strength of Gideon’s army.

He added that as long as God’s servants were depending on their numbers to achieve God’s assignment, they would fail. "Remember, the battle is not won with colorful credentials, numbers in the crowd or the strength of our horses, but it is the Lord who will defeat the Midianite as one man through his servant Gideon", said the man of God.

Rev. Menyongai, the newly installed Senior Pastor and General Overseer, told the church that as long as God was at the helms of leadership, the church would become ten times better and affect more people for the Kingdom of God. He further stated that serving God is not always rosy, but the battle is not ours but the Lord. Thus the church had come thus far – from nothing to something.
