BOSTON, Mass., _Orphaned children in some parts of Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya have many reasons to smile and look forward to a merry Christmas this year because of one African man and his wife.

The man, Apostle Darius Twagirayesu of International Hope for Africa, a charitable organization, in conjunction with All Nations House of Prayer church and Fresh Aroma Ministry International will hold a free breakfast prayer meeting this coming on Saturday, October 23 aimed at raising funds to assist the needy children in Africa feel happy during the fast approaching Christmas holiday.

The meeting will take place at the Holiday Inn on 15 Middlesex Canal Dr Park, Woburn, MA 01801.

The breakfast will be part of the 2nd New England Annual Prophetic Conference that will kick off, on Thursday, October 21 -Sunday, October 24, 2010.

Apostle Darius and his wife, Prophetess Mwaka Twagirayesu together with Bishop Joseph and Pastor Catherine Warui from the United Kingdom, will be the main speakers.

Twagirayesu’s wife is a well known powerful woman of God who has touched hundreds of people's lives in the USA and Europe with her wise counsel and prayer.

The God fearing couple led of the All Nations Christian Center in Cambridge, Mass., that became mother to many other churches that birthed a revival in the African community in New England in the early 1990s and early 2000s.

“We were the first Africans to start a church here in Massachusetts, together with Reverend Peter Gachathi now of Saint Paul’s Community church in Lawrence Mass”, said Apostle Twagirayesu in a telephone interview with Ajabu Africa.com.

They ministered together with other preachers of the word like Evangelist Teresia Wairmu,Tunde Bakare, and Prophet Bernard Blessing, Dunkin Williams, and other great men and women of God.

According to Apostle Twagirayesu, both him and his wife decided to relocate the church to Dallas, TX in 2007 after a Prophetic word came to them to bring healing and restoration to the body of Christ in Dallas, TX.

However, according to Apostle Twagirayesu, Boston is still home for them and that is why they continue to come and visit their many spiritual sons and daughters still in the region.

For the last 11 years, the couple has made annual trips to Rwanda to bring Christmas gifts to children orphaned by HIV/ AIDS, and those who lost their parents in the horrific 1994 genocide in Rwanda.

“We like being there for these children who lost their families and have no one to celebrate Christmas with”, said Apostle Twagirayesu.

“Every year, we bring gifts to the children like clothes and toys to last them for a year till next Christmas”, said Apostle Twagirayesu. “We also serve them with hot meals”, he added.

He said that in the past, the International Hope For Africa organization usually visit the orphaned  children around Kigali, Rwanda, but this year they are  going to visit children in Nairobi, Kenya, and Kampala, Uganda.

Apostle Darius, who was born in Rwanda, met his future his wife, Mwaka a Zambian, in Nairobi Kenya and got married there.

They lived in Kenya for many years before moving to the USA. The couple has traveled widely throughout the East African region preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They hope that the East African Community in New England will come out in big numbers to support and help raise funds for their charitable cause this coming weekend.

The couple promises that the Hope for Africa breakfast will be a great opportunity to network and bless a child in Africa for will wishers who may or may not be traveling to Africa for the coming Christmas season.

Luckily, thank God we are in America where Christmas time is a season to give gifts whether you like it or not, and sometimes one has to think hard who to give a gift and what gift to give.

Why not spare something for East Africa’s suffering children and be a blessing to them?.
