Kasubi Tombs Fundraising Committee to be Launched Sunda

WALTHAM,Mass., MAY 28_Capt. Frank Musisi will on Sunday, May,30th 2010 launch a committee that will oversee the fundraising for the resort oration of the recently gutted Kasubi historical tombs in Kampala, Uganda. The launch takes place in Los Angels California at Taj of India Restaurant in Nuys on 14062 Burnable Van at 7.00pm.

In a statement issued to the media this week Musisi called on volunteers who are committed this work to integrate into the committee "as we move on this selfless patriotic assignment."

He commended the work done by Gwanga Mujje Boston, New York ,New Jersey and DC Washington towards the  contribution on the restoration of Kasubi tombs that is ongoing.

"I must commend volunteers that have stepped forward and joined the Kasubi  Royal Tombs  restoration funds committee to be used as  a vehicle to raise funds under the office of the Buganda Kingdom special mobilisers in the United States ," he added.

Musisi also commended Ssabasajja K Kabaka's representatives in the USA and Canada for the work they have done and continued to do towards supporting the restoration of the Kasubi Tombs and many other community organizations and friends of Buganda in the North America and Canada and Europe that are contributing toward this cause.

He emphasized that he has so far visited Frenso, Atlanta, Dallas and pledged that he will soon tour  several cities and states mobilising, sensitazing and co-coordinating with friends of Buganda about the  noble cause.

He added that over the next weeks and months he will take on this work to the different communities and organizations and business in North America articulating Buganda Kingdom issues to ensure that "we raise funds for the restoration of Kasubi Tombs and hoped to be joined by many others."

Musisi  pledged that all the funds collected will be monitored  and only be put to good use of restoring the Kasubi historical Tombs and this will be governed by transparence, accountabillity and disclosure confidence and trust.

He called on all Baganda and friends  of Buganda in the Diaspora to unite and support them during this  very difficult time in the kingdoms history.

"Thanks  go to Mr.Sam Kigwe of Atlanta Georgia and Mr.Abu Senkayi of Dallas  both Ssabasajja's representatives from  their respective cities for  the warm hospitality and accommodation accorded to me during my visit,' He noted.

He pledged  not to take this task so lightly.
