ANDOVER, Mass., SEPTEMBER 2_The increasingly popular and competitive gospel music by Kenyan artists got a new addition recently when an expectant mother of 3 released a new hot selling album.

The splendid launch was witnessed by dozens of fans at the magnificent Andover country club in Andover, Mass.

Produced by Felix Mwangi of 12 note productions, the new album by Mrs. Elizabeth Wanyoike titled Niukundathima Mwathani ( You will bless me lord) and recorded in her native Kikuyu language proved to be an instant hit with various tracks moving fans to their feet .

The event was coordinated by Rev. Charles Kihiko of the new Calvary Evangelical church in Lowell who served as the master of ceremony.

With her fourth baby weeks away from birth, Mrs. Wanyoike was hardly slowed down during the launch as she belted out sweet melodies in praise of King Jesus to the delight of her family and friends on attendance.

The sweet melodies prompted one of the guest pastors, excited Dr. Rev. Karimi Mumbui of Ushindi church, to request the new artist to replay some of the tracks.

“I could not believe it when Mrs. Wanyoike informed us that she will be releasing a CD in her current situation. I honestly did not think it was possible” said an excited Dr. Rev. Karimi Mumbui while addressing the attendees. I am here to congratulate her and wish her all the best,” added the cleric.

Wanyoike’s second born daughter; Tiffany Wanyoike  shed tears for mommy while addressing the fans. “I am so glad to see mom happy and well,” said littleWanyoike.

Her older sister and an upcoming musician herself, Anne, performed a song in support of her mother.Their soon to be second last born brother , Walter played the cheering role.

Other supporting artists performing during the event included Mary Munyiri and Fideris Kuria who both are scheduled to release their own albums soon.

Wanyoike later told Ajabu Africa News that her young daughter was so worried about the welfare of the upcoming baby and did not think it was a good idea to perform while expecting. “But God is great that all was well,” added Wanyoike.

The album launch was long overdue as it had been postponed once due to logistical complications. Eventually, the release was able to take place at the beautiful Andover country club, giving most regular Kenyans a chance to visit and dine at the Golf club usually frequented by the very rich.

Kids, who on several occasions had been at the joint during some previous weddings by some Kenyans at this golf club had a field day, taking down ice cream and playing in a specifically allocated kid’s room.

Wanyoike told fans during the launch that well wishers from the Andover area have pledged to fund her upcoming non profit children’s home in her native village in Kenya to the tune of several million dollars.
"Anything is possible in this country if you put your faith in God and do the right thing all the time", Wanyoike said.

"The same well wishers also decided to pay for some of the expenses of the cd launch, she later revealed to Ajabu Africa News".

Preaching during the event, Mr. Moses Mugo from PCEA Imani Church in Lowell advised Kenyans to aim higher and put their trust in God, adding anything is achievable in this country.

Towards the end of the fun filled album launch, Rev. Kihiko reiterated his call for Kenyans to support upcoming artists by buying their music.

“Buying these CDs will bless and entertain you through music and you will encourage our artists to keep producing more for the glory of God,” said Rev. Kihiko as people scooped the copies of the new album for themselves and their loved ones.
