Kenyan Business Expo in Worcester, Massachusetts

Notable Kenyan-owned businesses exhibited a variety of products and services ranging from cosmetics to the once booming handcrafts which have suffered lately from the influx of cheap Chinese imports designed to imitate authentic African handcrafts. Among the companies that were represented at the event were National Housing Corporation (NHC) and KenyaShares.com.

Mr. James Ruitha, NHC Managing Director, who had attended other business conventions in his business trip to the U.S., explained the process and affordability of owning properties in Kenya.
Although the attendance was below expectation, entrepreneurs interviewed by ajabuafrica.com expressed a never-die spirit and looked forward to the next expo with increased marketing and promotion by the organizers.
