Family Appreciates help in Raising $16,000 for Kidney patient

LOWELL, Mass_ FEBRUARY 6_The family of Loise Mwangi, who lives in Lowell, Mass., and the organizing commitee, is thanking all the guests of honor, friends and well wishers in Massachusetts, and those who wired funds from out of state in response their plea for help for funds to enable her brother, Samuel Thuku Mwangi undergo an urgent Kidney transplant in Kenya.

The fundrasing, held last Sunday at the PCEA Imani church on 6 Rockland street in Lowell, Mass. , raised over $16,000 .

"I am deeply touched by all those Kenyans who came to help my brother even if they did not know him as he is all the way in Kenya.", said Loise Mwangi to AjabuAfrica.com.

"I have no words that can express the way i truly feel for all of you who took this burden in your heart. May God bless you all and give you the desires of your hearts", she added.

Mwangi is a brother to Loise, and has been very sick in Kenya.The funds raised will enable him get specialized treatment at the Nairobi Hospital as soon as practically possible.

The treasurer of the fundrasing commitee, Peter Gaitho, said that he was amazed by the response of the Kenyan community both in Massachusetts and those who wired money from out of state.

"We thank you all for your kindness and may God bless you", said Gaitho.

Gaitho said that the family is now praying that the surgery will get completed successfully and have every belief that healing will occur rapidly.
