BOSTON, Mass.,_The legendary International Monetary Fund (IMF), is facing a major embarrassment after its managing director, Dominique Strauss-Kahn was arrested in New York after an attempted rape of an African immigrant from Guinea.

According to media reports, Strauss-Kahn has denied the charge and will appear in a Manhattan court tomorrow, Thursday for a bail hearing on several counts related to the attempted rape and assault of the reportedly 32 year old mother of one.

Reports indicate that, the hotel worker, told cops she tried to run away from the randy Frenchman, nicknamed both the "The Great Seducer" and "Hot Rabbit." But he chased her down a hallway and yanked her into a bedroom where he grabbed her crotch, she told police.

He then dragged her into a bathroom, tried to strip off her panties and forced her to perform oral sex on him, but she fought him off and broke loose, police said after being summoned by the hotel's staff when the woman reported the matter immediately it happened.

Police sources say investigators have no reason to doubt the victim's story.

However as the bizarre news percolated into the world, many people polled in Strauss-Kahn's home country, France, believe that the  money man was being framed for political purposes as he is viewed as a leading  contender  in the upcoming French presidential elections.

Several media outlets in France have already disclosed the name of the victim while at the same time complaining about massive embarrassment caused by the images of Strauss-Kahnn walking in hand cuffs after being yanked off an Air France plane in an Airport just before it took off for France and led to a New York court for arraignment.

Reports in the media indicate that if the wealthy financier had made it out of the USA, there would have been no way to extradite him back to face justice since France has no extradition treaty with the USA.

Most news outlets do not publish names of such victims by widely accepted convention unless the victim offers to be disclosed publicly.

Pressure is mounting for Khann to step down as the head of the giant fund which manages the global economy which while playing a crucial role at helping countries manage their economies, it has at times been blasted by many developing countries including Africa for lending money to them with tight strings attached that do not work well for their unique situations.

As such several developing countries are increasingly calling for the next head of the IMF to be selected from among them saying they too have economists who are capable of leading the world organization.

However, media reports say that many European countries have rejected the idea saying that the post can not leave Europe anytime in the foreseeable future.

As for now, all eyes are  focused on the bail hearing and possible grand jury indictment in the coming days which will make way for a trial in an effort to seek the truth and serve justice where due.

Many African immigrants in the USA are hoping that the judge presiding over the proceedings will do the right thing to uncover the truth and serve justice for the young African mother who sought asylum in American to escape from other injustices perpetrated on her in her motherland.

This, if done the right way, will also save all the African immigrants in the USA and the whole world from the humiliation and demeaning theories being propagated by some media outlets in Europe.

After all, that is one of the main reasons African immigrants came to America- to seek freedom and justice which can only be found in the legendary land of the free where the law do not discriminate between the haves and the have-nots.
