WALTHAM, Mass. OCTOBER 17- A Finance and taxation consultancy firm, Multi-Professional Consultants LLC (MPC) is organizing a big conference next month to educate the African community on taxation issues, rights and benefits.
The conference to be held at the French Club in Waltham, Massachusetts on November 28th 2009 is expected to attract hundreds of participants.
The conference comes at a time when a good number of immigrants are facing problems when it comes to issues of taxation. Many are asking themselves why they pay the kind of taxes they pay and to know their rights and entitlements as immigrants in the USA.
Speaking to one of the proprietors of Multi-Professional Consultants at their office at Crescent Street in Waltham, Dr Michael Kisembo said they have a big number of Africans who are not aware of their fiscal obligation as immigrants in the United States.
Kisembo said that, "We always hold annual conferences to educate our people and the last one was held in November 2007. We did not have one last year because of budgetary constraints.”
