WALTHAM, Mass., AUGUST 30_Uganda North American Association campaigns are in high gear as incumbent president Lt. Frank Musisi seeks another term in office come September 6th in Chicago.
Talking to folks in a town hall meeting at the French Club in Waltham Massachusetts, Musisi said that no one can threaten him. He said his cause is for the people and children's future living both in the diaspora and back home in Uganda.
He added that although his family and friends have been threatened, he won't be stopped from fighting for his causes. He said that,”My family and friends at home in Uganda have also been threatened but no one can stop me from fighting for a cause.
I have taken a stand and cannot look behind. No one can bribe me. Am not so cheap and can not be bought by money.”
He noted that even officials in Mengo have been threatened including
the Katikiiro of Buganda JB Walusimbi and ministers from Mengo
government.
Musisi said threats cannot move him. "I can hold a gun or negotiate".
He urged all those going for the Unaa convention to elect people that are
not greedy for money. "We need the right people and those who have
Uganda at heart,” he added.

Musisi advised them to venture in non governmental organisation activities saying
that all those organizations in the Diaspora have the potential to invest and
that he is ready to help them lobby for support.
He also asked them to elect him in office for the last term so that he
can set everything in line for a proseprous Unaa.
“Unaa president should have a strong working team that can take Unaa
forward. I have conducted a number of seminars on immigration in
different states to help our members with immigration issues".
Musisi said that he has built a healthcare facility valued at US$1 million to
handle HIV/AIDS in Kalangala district under the African Aids
Projects.
He said he has also been in touch with the President Yoweri Museveni on land issues and the land bill in Uganda
He said he has also lobbied parliament for dual citizenship which led to the final
passage of dual citizenship law by the Ugandan parliament.
Musisi said that there should be limited politics in Unaa.
He urged all members to register so that they can vote, saying
that if elected into office they will introduce a card that every
member will be using to vote.
