‘Robot would be better in White House over Obama’

Anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela's life story is to be turned into a six-part television mini-series co-created by his grandson, the producers behind the multinational project said Monday.

Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro claims that 90% of voting Americans would vote for robot over Obama or any Republican rival, AFP reports.

Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro has spoken out against US President Barack Obama, claiming that a “robot” would do a better job in the White House, AFP reported Monday.

“Is it not obvious that the worst of all is the absence in the White House of a robot capable of governing the United States and preventing a war that would end the life of our species?” Castro wrote, according to AFP.

Cuba’s former president wrote during one of the “reflections” he often publishes that the US public would be better off voting for a robot rather than Obama or any of the Republican candidates in the 2012 election race.

If faced with a choice between Obama, a Republican rival or a robot, “90 percent of voting Americans, especially Hispanics, blacks and the growing number of the impoverished middle class, would vote for the robot,” Castro said, according to the report.

Castro accused Obama of being “hopelessly immersed in seeking re-election,” AFP reported.

He also said that many of the Republican candidates for the presidency “carry with them more nuclear weapons than ideas for peace.”
