Ugandan man dies in a Burlington car accident, burial funds drive urged

BURLINGTON, Mass.,_A Ugandan man passed away early Sunday morning after a horrific car accident in Burlington on his way home from the Twegaite Convention that ended later the same day.
Consequently, Ugandans in Boston are in a massive fundraising drive take the body of the Late Herbert Lwanyaga back home.
Lwanyaga 46, died on the spot when his car a Discovery Land Rover lost control on Route 128 or Interstate 1-95 in Burlington, Massachusetts.
According to reports from the state police the accident occurred at 1.40 am. It was listed as a single car crash in the North bound lane of 1-95 between exit 33A and 33B.
Police officers also confirmed that the speed at which Lwanyaga was driving was the main cause of the accident and that he was not wearing a seat belt.
Ugandans in the Diaspora have organized a mini memorial services for Lwanyaga at his resident at Beacon Village house # 15 tonight at 7.00p.m .Take exit 34 off 1-95N, thereafter will be body viewing at Church of Uganda, St, Peter’s Anglican Church, Main Street in Waltham starting at 3.00 pm tomorrow.
Lwanyaga’s remains will be transported back to his home country in Uganda on Wednesday for burial.
Lwanyaga is a brother to Godfrey Kasibante a.k.a Gentleman, cousin to David Makumbi in Boston,Ronald Lutakome , Ronnie Mayanja, Fred Mayanja, Stellah Namukwaya and Sarah Mulindwa.
Lwanyaga will be taken to his parents home in Kawaala then later laid to rest at his ancestry home in Butambala Mpigi district Uganda.Ugandans need over $8,000 to take back the body.
