Accommodation Information
The Stanley
The New Stanley Hotel was first opened in 1902 as 'The Stanley'. In the passing years modern Nairobi has sprung up around the New Stanley Hotel which with its ideal location and vibrant atmosphere at the corner of Kenyatta Avenue and Kimathi Street, lies in the center of the commercial business district.
The New Stanley underwent a complete yet sympathetic refurbishment. The design concept takes on a Victorian Theme, retaining the high ceilings and old world charm of that era while incorporating every comfort and luxury for the traveler of today.
With this transformation the New Stanley has reinherited its original name, The Stanley.

Mountain Lodge
At 7,200 feel on the slopes of Mount Kenya, Mountain Lodge is ringed by a dense rain forest which comes alive at dusk with a myriad of sounds of creatures all sizes. Constantly towering the scene are the majestic rocky peaks of Mount Kenya, providing some dramatic photographic opportunities. This is the adventure offered at Mountain Lodge, regarded by many as having the most consistent high record of animals "visits" and sightings in the area.
Mountain lodge is a two and half hour drive from Nairobi and has 42 rooms each with private showers, toilets and spacious verandahs. Game viewing throughout the day and evening includes, elephant, buffalo, rhino and waterbuck. A specially constructed viewing bunker, connected to the lodge by a short tunnel, offers spectacular closer views of wildlife at the waterhole.

Samburu Lodge
Samburu Lodge was opened in July 13, 1963 and is set in a rugged landscape with a backdrop of jagged mountains and its own indigenous animals unique to the region. The landscape, wildlife and vegetation is very different to the lush rolling grasslands of other parks. Samburu is a place for leopard, lion, elephant and crocodile. It is the place of the semi-nomadic Samburu people. A place of thornbush open plains and vast horizons. It gives you a taste of the romance of the desert. Beautifully situated on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro river everything at Samburu is geared to making the most of the lodges spectacular setting.
In the afternoon take a game drive to see the Beisa oryx, Grevys zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and blue legged ostrich - animals unique to this region.
There is a wide choice of accommodation spread up and down the banks the river in cottages, bandas and single or twin rooms. All rooms are complete with a four poster mosquito net.
In the evenings a number of crocodiles climb up the river bank to the edge of the crocodile bar and feast on food left out for them. On a good night guests may also see the secretive, solitary and nocturnal leopard silently arrive to the fresh meat bait put out on a tree across the river. Samburu dancing takes place in the lodge arena daily from 2.30pm to 3.00pm

Within the quaint, orginal farmhouse is the dining room, bar and reception with its superb accommodation, personal service, first class cuisine and outstanding array of activities. Sweetwaters is in a class of its own.
There is also a new Visitor's Information Centre at Morani's Boma, which is a must for all visiting clients staying both at Sweetwaters Tented Camp and Ol Pejeta Ranch House.
A 200-acre Chimpanzee sanctuary has been set up at Sweetwaters Game Reserve, a 15-minute drive from Sweetwaters Tented Camp.
A visit to this Sanctuary and the 30-minute boat ride (subject to fine weather) on the river among the chimps is a must... The aim of the project, initiated by Lonrho East Africa, Kenya Wildlife Services and the Jane Goodall Institute, was to set up a colony where chimps could be introduced, rehabilitated and taught to fend for themselves in an area similar to their natural living conditions. Priority is given to orphaned and abused chimps.

Keekorok Lodge
Keekorok Game Lodge was opened in 1965 and lies at the southern end of Masai Mara Reserve, approximately 280 kms from Nairobi. It is sited in the direct path of the annual migration and was the first lodge to be built in the Mara. At the height of the migration, Keekorok is surrounded by a swarming mass of animals and there is hardly need to go for a game drive. Keekorok's charm lies in the liberal use of local building materials. Sand stone, cedar wood and other indigenous materials are used in all rooms and public areas. A 300m walkway meanders through the riverine forest in front of Keekorok with a small bar at one end overlooking a dam where the resident hippo, if he is not on walk about finds his observers as fascinating as they find him.
There are no fences around the lodge, and it is not uncommon to see elephant and buffalo on the perimeter of the grounds or even strolling in.
There is a wide range of accommodation. Rooms are simple but tastefully furnished and decorated, many with a breathtaking view of the Mara.
The cuisine is of an excellent quality, with the chefs preparing both European and Kenyan delights.
The lodge also has a swimming pool, conference and wedding facilities.
